Build and Survive

Spend the five-minute day on a lift and a core, then hold the night against bombs for 80 coins.

Build and Survive gives humans five daylight minutes to build, then five night minutes against Smilers who spawn with bombs. Last the night for 80 Smile Coins. If every human is infected, the host Smiler receives 70 and the expedition resets to day 1. Each kill or infection adds 5 coins. A grab followed by a bomb self-destruct adds 15.

Standing on the white Smiler pad during the day raises your chance of becoming the first Smiler, up to about 40 percent. Staying away leaves the chance near 11 percent.

Body and blocks

Daytime jump height is 7 blocks and fall damage is off. At night, jump height drops to 2 blocks, so a stair that touches the ground is a Smiler ladder. You start with 55 Wood, 25 Concrete, and 7 Steel. Bought blocks stay until you leave the server. Unlocking a category stays. VIP unlocks TNT, listed at 50 coins each in Build and Survive.

A bomb removes 50 durability from every block in the blast.

Block Durability Bombs to break Unlock Each extra block
Wood 100 2 free 1 coin
Concrete 200 4 free, 25-block cap, not rebought none
Steel 300 6 free 18 coins
Metal Truss 150 3 100 coins 20 coins
Laser Shield 50 1 300 coins 75 coins
Grate Trap 100 2 250 coins 40 coins
Shotgun Turret 100 2 110 coins 6 coins

The Halloween update reduced the daily block reset, added the Rusted Skyscraper structure, and rebalanced blocks. Treat the prices above as the pre-rebalance public table and check the mode shop if a number changed.

Lifts that do not feed the ground

Rockets unlock for 250 coins, cost 70 each, and cap at 8. They push the build opposite the black exhaust. Fans unlock for 500, cost 20 each, and cap at 6. A fan lifts players, not blocks.

For a fan shaft: stone or steel floor, fan facing up, a four-wall chimney, a lever or battery, an opening on the defense floor, and a ceiling so people do not fly into the fog. Put a laser above the fan or cover the fan when you are not using it. Smilers ride open updrafts.

A spinner uses a wheel, arms of normal blocks, rockets on the outer blocks, spikes or Laser Gates on the arms, and a lever. Contact with the moving hazard kills. Laser Gates kill humans too. Do not walk through your own beam.

Night rules of thumb

  • Do not connect a ladder to the ground.
  • Put Steel under the core and Wood on expendable walkways.
  • Keep one enclosed lift and one weapon. Base weapons are limited unless the team buys crates. VIP still has the Knife.
  • Consecutive days move the map through mountains, cliffs, and ice that breaks when night starts. A wipe sends the server back to day 1.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between white light and orange light?

White Infecting Light, usually from camera stands, turns a human into a Smiler. Orange Depressing Light kills Smilers and lets humans walk through.

How do I break a Smiler grab?

A Knife, Handgun, or Shotgun can be used while you are held. A Hatchet also breaks Giant grabs. Teammates can hit the Smiler. Iron Potion and Endangered status stop a Knife escape.

Are there Infectious Smile codes for free coins?

No active or expired reward codes showed up on public lists checked through October 2026, and the experience page does not list a code reward. Numbers such as 156228002 open the Raided Hideout safe only when the desk note asks for them.

Which items count for Obtained All Weapons In One Life?

Bat, Bottle, Knife, Handgun, Shotgun, Hatchet, Ice Potion, and Invisibility Potion, all at the same time, without dying. The Tommy Gun and the shop melees do not count.

How do levels work?

Points to leave your current level n equal 100n + 20. Those points are the same events that pay Smile Coins. The Tommy Gun requires level 10.
